Our Story

All of my favorite memories somehow involve food. Growing up in eastern Montana, in the summers I would help my Grandoo (Nana) at the farm. Her cooking and baking have always been such an inspiration for me, and her food is somewhat legendary. Farmhands would always end the summer in a different pant size than when they started.

The Bad Nana Beginning

I began Bad Nana in my tiny NYC kitchen in 2015. It started with my Nana's caramel recipe, and took off from there! When people ask, "why 'Bad Nana' ?" I always say "she's bad in a good way!" :) In New York, I joined my first market there, and never looked back! Soon after, I moved to LA, where I found great success at the local Venice market. A few twists and turns in the road, a couple of different states, two kids, and 10 years later, I am back to work on Bad Nana!

What's Next?

When I first started Bad Nana 10 years ago, my main focus was on caramels. I have since found a love (obsession!) in chocolates, French pastry, and a slew of other inspired treats that I can't wait to share with you!
